8th Grade

Welcome to 8th grade science!

We will be studying Earth Science for the entire year.

This includes Oceanography, Astronomy, Geology , and Meteorology. We will be studying the composition of matter.

Students have been given a review paper to complete by Friday.

It is a cumulative test on several of the chapters we have covered in the book.

Field Trip forms are going home today.

Please indicate if you would like to be a chaperone. Limited space available.

Welcome to the world of Life Science!

We will be studying both plants and animals and a unit on the Human Body. We will be looking at disease and drugs. Finally we will be looking at our environment and its resources and the relationships between living and non-living things.

We have just completed chapter 11

We will start chapter 12 this week. The students have been given a review paper

which is due on Monday . It is a cumulative review of several chapters. It will count as a grade..

To finish up the year we will work on Chapter 14 - simple invertebrates and we will dissect a worm

7th Grade Religion

Welcome to the Mystery of God! This is the title of our first book in a

new series FAITH FIRST.

Your children have started working in their Prayer Journals. We are discussing the ways in which we find God in our world. We have talked about the ways in which God reveals Himself to us and the opportunities around us that lead us to a closer relations Bible and how God communicates His word to us

.We have started the second book in our series - Jesus in the New Testament
