The personal appearance of a student represents that individual. The personal appearance of the entire student body represents the school to others; therefore, the appearance of all students in Grade 1 to Grade 8 should be appropriate for Our Lady of Fatima School Shirts and blouses are to be tucked in at all times. Buttons are to remain on shirts, pants, and blouses. Skirts and pants are not to be rolled or pulled high to shorten. All clothing is to be labeled with the student’s name. Hats are not to be worn in school. HAIR: styled simply and out of the eyes; no fad or punk styles; no bleaching or coloring; boys’ hair may not be longer than the top of their shirt collar and should be combed neatly; boys must be clean-shaven. MAKEUP: worn only by seventh and eighth grade girls; should be tasteful and appropriate for school. JEWELRY: restricted to a ring, a watch, a simple, narrow chain necklace with a Christian symbol (such as a cross, crucifix, or saint) which is reflective of our Catholic faith, and small pierced earrings. Earrings, worn only by girls, are to be small and flat against the ear, with only one in each ear. Nose rings, tattoos, or any other bodily adornments are not permitted. Bracelets are not permitted. Appropriate adjustment to sizing should be made at the time of purchase. All T-shirts worn under the school uniform must be white and must not be seen above the collar. GYM UNIFORM Grades 1-8 Shorts and tee shirts purchased at Rush Uniform, Inc. White socks and solid white or black sneakers (no Heelys, no high-heeled/platform) are required. During the winter months, students may wear a hunter green sweat suit. Only the Our Lady of Fatima logo is permitted on these sweat suits, no team sweatshirts. The gym uniform is to be worn on the day the student has gym class.
