 Tuition Credit Registration Form

New Scrip Order Form

What is SCRIP

Scrip is gift certificates from local grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants. You use Scrip just as you would cash, checks, credit cards or gift certificates. By buying in bulk, the OLF School purchases Scrip at a discount and returns the savings to Our Lady of Fatima. Scrip is a “no selling” fundraiser. OLF earns anywhere from 1% to 20% per gift card purchased. You may use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, gas, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, we earn revenue for Our Lady of Fatima School and families benefit with tuition credits.

Goal of the Program:

To assist families with their tuition bills
To benefit the various educational programs and needs of
Our Lady of Fatima School and Parish.

Policies and Procedures

1. Registration:

•    Individuals who would like to participate in the new OLF SCRIP Tuition Credit Program will be asked to complete a registration form indicating where they would like their  rebate to be applied.  This form is REQUIRED in order to participate in the new Tuition Credit Program.   Please return this form to the school office.

2. Ordering SCRIP:

•    Complete the SCRIP form attached, and return it to the school office. (Please make sure your child’s name and room number are on the envelope.)

•    SCRIP is available through the school office, Monday through Friday.  If the SCRIP Card ordered is in stock, it will be sent home within 24 hours.

•    Special Orders will be placed once a week on Thursday and will be ready for delivery as soon as the SCRIP cards are received.

•    Please go to the SCRIP Website for a complete listing of available cards and to determine if there are any restrictions on the gift certificate chosen.  We are able to order any card listed on the SCRIP Website.

•    SCRIP can also be ordered directly on line via a debit card through Presto Pay. Be sure to set up a “family” account using the special OLF Code # ALF7194816455

3. Payment:

If SCRIP is ordered through school:
•    Cash or checks are accepted for purchase.

•    Payment must accompany all orders.

•    Checks are non tax deductible because you receive dollar for dollar value.

•    Any check returned for non-payment will incur a fee of $25.00 and all future orders must be done with cash payments.

•    Every SCRIP gift card purchased earns between 1.5% and 20%.

•    Half of the profit earned through the credits will be directed into a family “tuition account”.

•    The remaining 50% will go directly to the parish/school.

(Example:  A Family spends $500.00 per month times 12 months for a total of $6000.00 per year for groceries at Pathmark.  Scrip Pathmark Gift Cards earn 4%.   4% of $6000.00 is $240.00.  Therefore, the family tuition account earns $120.00 and the parish/school earns $120.00.)

•    Credits can only be used for Catholic school tuition purposes.

•    Friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc can purchase gift cards and designate their 50% to families with school children.  A Tuition Credit Form designating the family who will benefit from their 50% rebate must be completed.

•    If a family chooses to leave the school, there will be NO cash credit given. Any balance will revert directly to the parish/school account.

•    Have a child attending Catholic High School?  You can set up a “tuition account” for your particular Catholic high school.  A check will be directed to that high school during the payout period.

•    Tuition Account Credits will occur once a year during the month of March and will be posted for April tuition credit.

5. Use of Gift Cards:

•    Gift cards are just like cash.  There is no delay at the checkout counter.  Also, some retailers will allow you to use certificates to purchase on line.

•    Certain cards may have expiration dates.  Please go to the SCRIP Website for a complete listing of available cards and to determine if there are any restrictions on the gift certificate chosen.

All questions regarding the OLF SCRIP Program should be directed to the school office.
