At Our Lady of Fatima, our Physical Education program is a learning experience in which children are involved in the important task of learning activities and good sportsmanship. The primary objective of the Physical Education program is not only fun for the students but to also learn rules and objectives of the games played during class. Each class has forty-five minutes of formal physical education per week. Students progress through a continuum of skills designed to instill in each student the importance of physical fitness, while encouraging healthy competition and a strong sense of sportsmanship. In the lower grades, students begin with simple forms of exercise and progress to calisthenics and games like tag, kickball and soccer. In grades five through eight, students engage in more challenging activities including basketball, hockey and Ultimate Frisbee. In addition students participate in the Presidential Fitness Program
